Fixing her up in managable chunks

The skirts lifted, to see what kind of damage lies beneath. Thankfully, it's not too bad.

 

 

 

Replaced these skirts, but next year, the front end will need to be gone over. We want to camp in it before then, and it's fall now, so stripping off the entire end skin just before snow flies just doesn't make sense for us. Especially since we have no garage area to put her into. She will have to be tarped.

The door area needed to be dealt with as well. These were fixes that improved her immediate camp-ability, & will help prevent further damage.

Inside this little hole was several wasp's nests, and a mud dobber nest ~ urggghhh ~ what a pain to clean out!

We removed the j-rail, scraped off the old butyl tape, washed all the surfaces (j rail & camper skin), straightened out the j rail, & re-butyl-taped it all.

Now I just need to finish re-upholstering the cushions & hang the curtains. We'll paint it, too, but may camp in it before painting. We just really want to take it out & enjoy it!

Some of our trouble areas

Well, we got her home, (all the way from Paradise, Utah!), Now for the fun stuff ~ There looks to be some water damage on the interior from a while back, a boogered door and back hatch, a missing glass louvre, & a giant blob of silicone from what the PO said the original owner said was from a 2x4 busting through?  I don't know ~ I hope we haven't gotten ourselves in too deep. For $550, though, it was worth a shot.
